House Rules

Welcome.

The cabin area, including the bathroom, is 18 sqm.

Do not enter the house with shoes.

The vineyard dog is named Zorba. He barks at night because that’s his job.

Hot water from the solar heater is enough for at least 5 good showers on summer days. For winter and transitional seasons there is automatic gas water heating for cold months and cloudy days. Between April and October it’s usually not needed.

The electricity is solar and works all day and all night — no need to think about it. The indoor lighting also runs on 220 volts. That said — it is solar electricity with limited storage and it may cut out during the night. There is emergency lighting in the house. In summer the days are long and nights short, but in winter — certainly between November and March — it can happen.

If you came for two days — there is wine on the table, and if you want more — the winery is there. It is not locked. Each additional bottle costs guests staying in the cabin 100 NIS. You can leave cash, transfer to the vineyard’s account, or scan the QR code on the winery door and pay by credit card via your phone. Regular prices are 100–160 NIS depending on the bottle. Olive oil and olives are also priced at the winery if you decide to take some. There is olive oil and olives for your use in the cabin on the counter, and among the spices you’ll find a jar of the vineyard’s own spice blend that we cook with.

Gas oven: In the cold months — usually November through March — the oven heats the cabin well.

You can request and receive firewood for the bonfire at a cost of 50 NIS per bundle. In any case, these are not logs intended to heat the house.

Bathroom — please do not throw anything into the toilet, only into the bin.

All the taps in the vineyard provide drinking water.

In the sukkah to the west of the house there is usually someone around — either vineyard staff or guests. The sukkah has its own bathroom, shower, and kitchenette. You are welcome to sit under the eucalyptus tree — it’s very pleasant there.

There is a bonfire spot near the cabin and a grill for cooking meat or vegetables.

The house is open and we haven’t encountered any theft problems in recent years. On weekdays people work in the vineyard. The workers will not approach the house until after you leave, but you may see them from the windows. For any question, query, or problem — call us right away without hesitation.

Organic leftovers can be thrown into the vineyard rows. The vines will thank you. We separate organic from non-organic waste and only put plastics, packaging and the like in the bin. In the garden in front of the house — it’s an organic vineyard — you’ll find hyssop, caper bush, and mint.

Enjoy!
